Dear friends, today we will be discussing periodontitis. 💡 Our topic is periodontitis. Sometimes, when people rinse their mouths, they notice pink saliva — that is, blood. 🤭 Or they experience persistent bad breath. 😷

Everyone who has this problem experiences bleeding gums and tooth mobility. It all started when microbes began to develop on the walls of the teeth. 🦗 They carefully protected their surface with a special biofilm and plaque, leading to the formation of tartar. 🗿

Under this tartar, the microbes continued to live and damage the teeth. These damages become noticeable when you rinse your mouth and spit out pink saliva. 😲

So, what can we do ourselves about bleeding gums? (99.9% of people won't go to the dentist, unfortunately), so I want patients to understand that self-treatment is not an option — it’s not allowed!❗️ Because it will only get worse. 😮

What should you do at home if you notice bleeding gums? Schedule an appointment with a dentist! What is the essence of the treatment?

The essence of the treatment is that first, we remove the supragingival tartar, and then we treat the root surface with special Gracey curettes. ☝️ What’s special about these curettes? Each curette has its specific purpose: for the front teeth, and for the back teeth (molars, premolars). Do you see how curved it is?
