Another autoclave was added. And why?
We've added another autoclave. But why? 🤷
🧬 In simple terms, an autoclave is a sterilizer. This is extremely important because it is a device that kills all viruses, bacteria, and fungi during its sterilization cycle. This includes dangerous and fearsome pathogens like HIV and hepatitis viruses, completely eliminating the possibility of iatrogenic infection. ✅
Iatrogenic infection is when someone is infected within a medical facility. 😮
Unfortunately, not all medical facilities take sterilization seriously, and there are cases where sterilization ends with simply immersing instruments in a disinfectant solution, although this is only part of the complete sterilization cycle. ⚠️
In our practice, there have been no cases of iatrogenic infection, and we are committed to ensuring that it stays that way.
♻️ We follow a 5-step sterilization process, with the final step being mandatory autoclaving of sealed instruments by a specialized person (a Sterilization Nurse).
🆕 Today, at Blanco Dental Clinic, we've installed another autoclave from the Italian company TecnoGaz, known for its exceptional reliability and quality. The sterilization cycle is computer-controlled, eliminating the possibility of error. Ultimately, it's all about your health and safety. 💌
